Diren Demir is a 1997-born backpacker artist. During his travels, he has invented an anti-elitist gallery concept in a guerilla way, called “Art Space Project”. He began his studies in Sculpture at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts and Philosophy in 2017. Concepts of “paganism” and “ritual” have been evident themes in his artwork. Most of his artwork are also based on activism. He designed social projects such as “Non-Barrier Art Map” (2018) and “Produce for Art” (2019), which was awarded the best in Art and Culture category in HEG challenge. He translated Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries to Turkish. In 2019, he wrote the book A Night of June: Biographical Analysis of the Stonewall Riots.
