Kodac Ko was born in 1986 in Jeju, South Korea. Between 2005 and 2010 she studied printmaking at Hongik University in Seoul. In 2011 she took on her studies in Fine Arts with Prof. Christian Sery at the Academy of Fine Art Dresden, Germany. From 2013 until 2014 she was in Istanbul as an Erasmus student in Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. In 2017, she finalised her studies in Fine Arts at the University of Art Braunschweig under Prof. Raimund Kummer. She lives and works in Berlin. Ko creates media artwork and mixed-media installations. Her work focuses on the inability to communicate, the attempt at dialogue, the dissonance between form and content and the dysfunction of language. By investigating communication on a meta-level, she tries to grasp the underlying ambiguity and indistinctness of language.
